The generative method in art and design is gaining popularity:
from computer programs, algorithms and science, to the beauty of coincidence and patterns in nature.
Visit our GEN ART HUB, where students will show the results of 8 weeks exploring generative art and design.
The event will include an exhibition, talks, audiovisual performances, generative fashion and discussion.

Remixing the collection of Centre Ceramique.
Students show how to present old heritage in a new way for the next generation.

Lecture Leanne Wijnsma
Leanne Wijnsma will talk about her key projects ‘The smell of data’ and ‘A virtual tunnel from cultural capitals 2018 Leeuwarden to Valletta’.

These projects will give you a whole new view on existing matter.

Leanne Wijnsma received a BA in Graphic Design from the Utrecht School of the Arts in 2009 and a Masters in Visual Strategies from the Sandberg Institute Amsterdam in 2013.
She lead the research group ‘control society’ investigating data mining by smartphone apps and gadgets as part of Dutch media-lab SETUP in 2014, and has received an e-culture grant from the Dutch Cultural Media Fund to research and develop the Smell of Data in collaboration with filmmaker Froukje Tan.
